April is Financial Literacy Month and comedian Kate McKinnon teamed up with finance journalist Beth Kobliner to try and teach children money basics–while having a few laughs.
Beth Kobliner is the New York Times bestselling author of Make Your Kid a Money Genius (Even If You Are Not) and Get a Financial Life, so she’s got the basics down to a science. She teamed up with Kate McKinnon from SNL to deliver the goods to a few aspiring financial geniuses, covering topics like what money really is, should you take out a loan, and what is a credit card. It’s a funny video aimed at helping kids get the financial tools they need to succeed later in life, but it’s also pretty good for adults. If you’re like me, you need a money sense refresher course–and this is a good place to start.
