One of the most exciting attractions on the horizon for families visiting Disney Resorts is “Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.” The new theme parks feature a breathtaking voyage to a galaxy a long time ago and far, far away. For families and fans that can’t get enough Star Wars, visitors will also have the option to stay in an immersive Star Wars-themed hotel.
Disney has released few details about the upcoming hotels, but promises a fully immersive experience that is like stepping inside the films. The company states that every detail will come from the Star Wars Universe, from the lighting to the beds, and guests will participate in a unique adventure story as part of their stay.
The planned hotels don’t have a release date just yet, but Disney has confirmed that they will have direct access to the “Galaxy’s Edge” theme park to maintain a guest’s sense of immersion. Pedestrians will be able to walk through an entrance between the Millennium Falcon and Battle Escape attractions inside the park.
“Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge” is expected to open in 2019. The fourteen-acre parks will include a visit to the alien planet of Baatu, the opportunity to pilot the Millennium Falcon, and a battle between the Resistance and the villainous troopers of the First Order. Disney is building two identical parks in Disneyland Anaheim and Disney World, Florida. Hopefully, we can stay at one of the Star Wars-themed hotels soon after the park is open to the public.
