Captain Marvel Finally Arrives: First Trailer

Brie Larson has unveiled the first trailer for Captain Marvel and all we can say is FINALLY!

Seriously, this is the first film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe featuring a woman in the lead role. It’s been over ten years and twenty movies since the MCU arrived in movie theaters with Iron Man in 2008. We’ve followed the adventures of the Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy, and Black Panther… but not a single film headlined by a female superhero, including Black Widow! During that time, Wonder Woman’s triumph at the box office proved beyond a doubt that people want to see female superheroes in action. Marvel has finally delivered.

The first trailer doesn’t show us much of the titular hero in action, but this is a good first look at Brie Larson as Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel). She’s a fighter pilot and a super-powered badass! We can’t wait to see her on the big screen.

Brie Larsen is joined by Samuel L. Jackson, Clark Gregg, Gemma Chan, Lashana Lynch, Lee Pace, Jude Law, Djimon Hounsou, Ben Mendelsohn, and Annette Bening. Captain Marvel is in theaters on March 8 next year!
