The McDonald’s Shamrock Shake is back! The green milkshake returned to stores in the United States, Canada, and Ireland on February 21 ahead of St. Patrick’s Day on March 17.
McDonald’s introduced the Shamrock Shake in 1970 and, since then, the seasonal delicacy has attracted a loyal following eager for the drink’s annual return. Like the PSL, McRib, or other migratory menu items, the Shake keeps people coming back for more. “Limited availability” is like a drug, people.
The most recent recipe features mint, vanilla, and a hint of lime (for some reason) topped with whip green—and don’t forget that green dye. What do you think—is the Shamrock Shake worth the hype?
