#22 – Akita Inu – $2,800 on average

If you have ever watched the movie “Hachiko” and cried a river during the ending, then you probably recognize that the main character after whom the movie was named, Hachiko, was an Akita Inu dog.

Akita Inu dogs are known for their fidelity towards their master, which you could see by yourself if you have watched “Hachiko.” This breed originates from Japan’s Hokkaido prefecture, where almost every family owns this dog which serves as the family’s pet and guardian. Akita Inu dogs are not very fond of strangers and may be aggressive towards them if not properly trained. However, these dogs are fond of children and love playing with them. If you want a dog that will love you like Hachiko from the movie did, then buy yourself this dog.
