#11 – Ottawa
Ottawa is the capital of Canada situated on the bank of Ottawa River. Not only is it a city with natural beauty, but it’s a landmark of historical and political power. Ottawa holds the Canadian Parliament on Parliament Hill, which is a place tourists always visit. On Parliament Hill each evening, people are invited to the front lawn to witness the changing of guard ceremony. In this ceremony lights are projected on the Parliament Buildings showing words and images with lighting effects and sound. The National Gallery of Canada and the Canadian War Museum also attract visitors along with the beautiful Rideau Canal which is a must, when it comes to tourist attractions. It’s filled with boats from Spring to Fall and in the Winter, the water freezes and people enjoy skating on the canal.
