25 Poorest Countries In The World

#16 – Comoros

The official name of Comoros is the Union of Comoros. Comoros is an archipelago of islands located in the Indian Ocean near the Mozambique Channel. The total area of this island country is only 2,034 km2 which makes it the 178th largest country of the world. It has been estimated that 800,000 people live in Comoros. The capital city of Comoros is called Moroni.

Comoros has a GDP per capita of $1,723 which is not so good, and the worst part is that it continues to drop every year. One of the main reasons for this is overpopulation and the state of its agricultural economy.
