#15 – Ethiopia

The official name of Ethiopia is the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Ethiopia is a country located in the area called the Horn of Africa. The overall territory of Ethiopia is 1,104,300 km2 which makes it the 27th largest country of the world. It has been estimated that over 99,500,000 people live here. The capital city of Ethiopia is Addis Ababa.

Despite the fact that Ethiopia is one of the fastest growing economies in the world, it still has one of the lowest GDP’s per capita in the world which is only at $739. The problem with the Ethiopian GDP per capita arises from the various structural problems in its economy.
