Mali is officially known as the Republic of Mali. This country is located in the West African region and it is a landlocked country. The overall territory of Mali is 1,240,192 km2 which makes it the 24th largest country in the world. According to the 2009 Mali census, this country is inhabited by 14,517,176 people. The capital city of Mali is called Bamako.
