Liberia is also known by its official name, the Republic of Liberia. Liberia is located in the West African region. The area of this country is 111,369 km2 which makes it the 103rd largest country in the world. It has been estimated that around 4,500,000 people live in Liberia. The capital city of Liberia is called Monrovia.

Although Liberia is a country of various natural riches, it remains one of the poorest countries of the world. The GDP per capita of Liberia is only $478. The wars that took place in the country have contributed to a bad economic situation here.
