The official name of Congo is the Democratic Republic of Congo. Congo is a country located in Central Africa. This country has been previously known as Zaire. The overall area of Congo is 2,345,409 km2 which makes it the 11th largest country in the world. It has been estimated that around 81,680,000 people live in this African country.
Despite the fact that Congo is the cradle of minerals, it is a very poor and underdeveloped country with a GDP per capita of only $499.
