Burkina Faso is a country that is located in the West African region. The total area of this West African country is 274,200 km2 which makes it the 74th  largest country in the world. It has been estimated that over 17 million people live in Burkina Faso. The capital city is called Ouagadougou.

Burkina Faso is one of the poorest countries in the world because there are high levels of corruption present in the country and it is frequently hoarded by terrorists from Mali and Niger. The GDP per capita of Burkina Faso is only $644.
