We can’t wait for the most anticipated wedding of the year in just a few short weeks: the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle! No matter how much pomp and romance they bring to the occasion (or maybe because of it), we’re sure that the happy couple will be relieved to head on their honeymoon when it’s all over. Rumors about their intended destination have swirled for months now, and a source has apparently told Travel+Leisure that the Prince and his bride will be heading to Namibia.
The newlyweds’ have chosen an amazing destination for the honeymoon of the year. Namibia offers isolation, privacy, and natural beauty. Namibia is also part of the Commonwealth, making it a fitting destination for the prince. A bush safari in the mountainous interior is the perfect way to escape the prying eyes of the paparazzi and a perfect way to spend some time alone together under the stars. We have to admit, we’re reminded of Princess Elizabeth and Philipy’s gorgeous safari in Kenya on season one of The Crown (filmed in South Africa). Prince Harry is following in his grandparent’s footsteps!
