9. Cedar Creek Treehouse, Ashford, Washington
There are obviously a lot of treehouse hotels in the world, but most of them don’t provide the off-the-grid adventure that Cedar Creek Treehouse provides. While many other treehouse hotels around the world are a mere 2 meters off the ground, the Cedar Creek Treehouse is located a cool 15 meters from the ground and comes with two floors!
In essence, the Cedar Creek Treehouse provides a scenario where the designer literally came up with the idea of placing a house on top of a tree. It’s placed on the trunk of a 200-year-old cedar tree that rises through to the middle to give the hotel an utterly secure structure. Of the two floors, the top one has comfortable beds, sitting areas and spacious skylights meant for gazing at the stars at night, as well as a balcony where you can enjoy the mountainous scented air and view miles and miles of Mount Rainier.
This unique hotel is powered by solar energy, but you’ll not have to worry about food, because it’s delivered to your doorstep. And with your hotel surrounded by a huge forest, you can go hiking, fruit gathering and fishing or just visit the nearby Mount Rainier National Park.
