Kate McKinnon Tries to Teach Kids Money Basics for Financial Literacy Month

April is Financial Literacy Month and comedian Kate McKinnon teamed up with finance journalist Beth Kobliner to try and teach children money basics–while having a few laughs.

Beth Kobliner is the New York Times bestselling author of Make Your Kid a Money Genius (Even If You Are Not) and Get a Financial Life, so she’s got the basics down to a science. She teamed up with Kate McKinnon from SNL to deliver the goods to a few aspiring financial geniuses, covering topics like what money really is, should you take out a loan, and what is a credit card. It’s a funny video aimed at helping kids get the financial tools they need to succeed later in life, but it’s also pretty good for adults. If you’re like me, you need a money sense refresher course–and this is a good place to start.

You’ll have to watch the funny video from Beth Kobliner for yourself:
