#19 – Field’s Disease
This disease is said to be the rarest disease in the world since only two cases of it have been documented. The only two cases were found in twin sisters, Catherine and Kirstie Fields, who are from Wales. The twin sisters’ surname serves now as the Field’s Disease name.
This disease doesn’t have a Latin and an official name, and it is only defined by the doctors as a neuromuscular disease. The muscles of the two sisters who suffered from this disease slowly began to deteriorate, eventually turning the twins into invalids.
