25 Diseases You Wouldn’t Like To Have

#18 – Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria

Progeria is an extremely rare genetic illness which makes a child age rapidly and look like they are 80-years old when they haven’t even celebrated their 5th birthday.

It’s estimated that only 1 in 8 million newborns will be diagnosed with progeria. Most people born with progeria have an average life span of only 11-13 years. There are some rare cases of people born with progeria to live into their twenties.

Sadly, there is no cure for this disease although efforts are being made to find a cure.
